This retreat will be in Speyside,Scotland - the heart of whisky country with unique Scotch Whisky experiences hosted by Mitch Bechard, whisky adventurer and Keeper of the Quaich and in depth photography masterclasses by renowned photographer Erik McRitchie.

This is a 3 night one of a kind, truly unique all-inclusive scotch whisky & photography experience where you can enjoy insider distillery visits, whisky dinners and tutored tastings along with on site and outdoor photography lessons, social media training and much more.

It’s the perfect escape for couples or friends! Education, fun & good times are key components of this unique experience.

Day 1

Upon afternoon arrival you will be welcomed by your hosts and given time to settle into the stunning Craigellachie Lodge in the heart of Speyside.

After you have unpacked and made yourself comfortable in your en-suite room it will be time to meet your hosts and other members of the group over some hors d'oeuvres and a welcome cocktail at the bar.

A specially curated dinner will be served family style in the lodge dining room with a whisky 101 by Mitch.

​

Following dinner there is an optional walk (10 minutes) down to the Highlander Inn to mingle with the locals and get to know your surroundings.

Day 2

If you are an early bird you can be up at dawn for a sunrise photo session with Erik.  A photography 101 breakfast will then be served at the lodge.

You will then go on a guided tour of Speyside hosted by Mitch that will be combined with plenty of photo opportunities with Erik, who will be on hand to guide you.  We will then stop for a packed lunch in an amazing location.

You will then get back to the lodge for some free time to relax or walk down to the Fiddichside Inn for a pint and dram.

​

Then it will be time to join the group for pre-dinner cocktails in the bar followed by a quick stroll down to the Telford Bridge for a sunset shoot with Erik.

For dinner a 3-course whisky paired feast will be served at the lodge hosted by Mitch followed by some drams and stories at the lodge bar.

Day 3

The early birds can join Erik for another sunrise shoot followed by breakfast at the lodge.

​

After this you will be whisked away to one of Speysides finest distilleries for the day where you will be given an in-depth tour followed by lunch.  

After this you will be granted unique access to a warehouse for a photography session hosted by Erik. 

​

After some refreshments it will be time for a 101 on social media and photography hosted by Erik and Mitch.  Then it will be time to look at your pictures and go through some editing hints and tips.

​

After returning to the lodge; if you have the energy before dinner, you can join Erik on another sunset shoot then off to a 4-star hotel for a paired whisky dinner to finish the weekend off.
